 Pour Point Depressants are polymers that maintain good flowability of lubricants at low temperature wintertime without forming wax These depressants are suitable for mineral oils containing petroleum These depressants have been named as pour point for their role in maintaining good flow characteristics of oils so that these lubricants can be poured By preventing wax formation of lubricants these products prevent damage of various mechanical systems These industrial depressants are effective in reducing cost associated with mixing of paraffin based oil with crude oil during lubricant refining process  Moreover these also eliminate the necessary of removal of solidified paraffin wax from lubricants
